長男・和樹（ヴァイオリン）、次男・直樹（チェロ）、三男・洋（ピアノ）のオーストリア・ザルツブルク出身の兄弟によるピアノ・トリオ。スウェーデン人の父（ヴァイオリニスト）と日本人の母（ピアニスト）のもとに生まれ、それぞれ両親から音楽の手ほどきを受ける。長男・和樹、次男・直樹はウィーン・フィルハーモニー管弦楽団の正団員として活動するほか、室内楽の演奏活動にも積極的である。幼少の頃より各々デュオでの共演を重ね、2012年にトリオとしての活動を開始。2016年秋に三兄弟の日本滞在が重なったことが契機となって話がまとまり、2017年に初来日ツアーの念願が叶った。同じ家庭に育ち、価値観や感覚を共有していることから生まれる言葉を超えた絆は、兄弟にしかできない息の合った親密な演奏に繋がっている。また一方で三人三様の持ち味がバランス良く表現され、そこから生み出される豊かなハーモニーは今後さらに色彩を益して行くと期待される。
●ヴィルフリート・和樹・ヘーデンボルク（ヴァイオリン）
6歳よりヴァイオリンを始める。1989年、モーツァルテウム国立音楽大学でルッジェーロ・リッチに師事し、1998年に最優秀の成績で修了（ 芸術学修士）。同年ウィーン市立音楽大学でウェルナー・ヒンクに師事し、2001年に首席で卒業。「オーストリア青少年音楽コンクール」1位および「ウィーン・フィルハーモニカー特別賞」（1993年、オーストリア）、「パブロ・デ・サラサーテ国際コンクール」（同年、スペイン）4位受賞（最年少）。「リッチ国際コンクール」（1995年、ドイツ）1位受賞、「タデウス・ヴロインスキー・ソロ・ヴァイオリン国際コンクール」（1997年、ポーランド）1位受賞等。またヴァイオリンの弦の開発も手がけており「トマスチック・インフェルド」と契約を結び、1999年に「インフェルド・ヴァイオリン」の名称で商品化された。2001年にウィーン国立歌劇場管弦楽団に入団。2004年よりウィーン・フィルハーモニー管弦楽団の正団員として活動する一方で、室内楽の演奏活動にも積極的に参加し、ソリストとしても活躍している。2018年にはリッカルド・ムーティとルッジェーロ・リッチの100周年記念演奏会でパガニーニの協奏曲第4番を共演、そしてフィルハーモニア・エテルナと十束尚宏の指揮でロージャのヴァイオリン協奏曲を日本初演。同年より協議会会長として国立歌劇場オーケストラを、2023より中央協議会会長としてオーストリア連邦劇場を代表。1998年にモーツァルテウム国立音楽大学（クリスタ・リヒター・シュタイナー勲章）およびオーストリア連邦省より叙勲された。使用楽器はM.SchwalbとD.Bagué。1977年生まれ。

●ベルンハルト・直樹・ヘーデンボルク（チェロ）
5歳よりチェロを始める。12歳でモーツァルテウム管弦楽団との共演でソロ・デビュー。13歳からモーツァルテウム国立音楽大学のハインリッヒ・シフの下で研鑽を積む。「若い音楽家のための国際チェロ・コンクール」（1993年、イタリア）優勝、「第2回若い音楽家のためのチャイコフスキー国際コンクール」（1995年、仙台）銀メダル等。2003年バイエルン放送室内管弦楽団とのハイドンのチェロ協奏曲でウィーン楽友協会大ホールにデビュー。2007年にはアイゼナハ歌劇場（ドイツ）のソリスト・イン・レジデンスを務め、音楽総監督の阪哲朗と共に演奏を行った。ウィーン・トーンキュンスラー管弦楽団首席チェロ奏者を経て、2011年にウィーン国立歌劇場管弦楽団に入団、2014年よりウィーン・フィルハーモニー管弦楽団の正団員となる一方で、室内楽の演奏活動にも積極的である。2004年から参加しているピアノ四重奏団アンサンブル・ラロとしての活動も続けており4枚のCDをリリースしている。2006年から2019年まで神戸国際芸術祭の音楽顧問を務め、ソリストとしても国内外の数々のオーケストラと共演している。1979年生まれ。

●ユリアン・洋・ヘーデンボルク（ピアノ）
5歳よりヴァイオリンとピアノを始める。ドイツ、イタリア、ハンガリー、オーストリアでの数々のコンクールでは、双方の部門で1位および優秀賞を受賞。6歳でモーツァルテウム国立音楽大学に最年少で合格。12歳でウィーン国立音楽大学に入学し、16歳で一旦クラシック音楽を離れる。10代後半は幅広いジャンルの音楽を学び、2011年よりハイドン音楽院のスタニスラフ・チチョノフに師事。ヴァルセシア・ムジカ・ヤング国際コンクール2012プレミオ・モンテローザ・カワイ1位受賞（イタリア）、ストックホルム国際音楽コンクール1位受賞（2012・2014年／室内楽部門、スウェーデン）、マデイラ・フンチャル国際音楽コンクール1位およびグランプリ受賞（2013年・ピアノ部門、2014・2015年／室内楽部門、ポルトガル）、第21回コルテミリア国際音楽コンクール1位受賞（2013年、イタリア）等。2016年にはブルガリア国立交響楽団とラフマニノフのピアノ協奏曲で共演した。幼稚園等でのアウトリーチ活動にも積極的で、ヨーロッパ特有の自由さと日本的な繊細な感性を表現する若手ピアニストとして、期待されている。1990年生まれ。

The Hedenborg Trio, formed by three brothers, all born in Salzburg, with Swedish and Japanese parents, now live in Vienna. Violinist Wilfried and Cellist Bernhard are both members of the Vienna State Opera Orchestra as well as the Vienna Philharmonic Orchestra and have always been highly active in different chamber music formations. Pianist Julian, the youngest of the three, parallel to finishing his studies and building his career as a pianist, joined the long existing Hedenborg Duo in 2012 and the Hedenborg Trio was founded. In 2016,
for the first time the three brothers happened to be in Japan together and after exchanging ideas the dream of a Japan tour in 2017 came true. Having been born in the same house, grown up in the same environment, there is a connection in imagination, expression and communication, which turn the performance into an extraordinary experience, only found in brothers. The three unique characters and tastes find themselves well in balance and the resulting rich harmony is expected to bloom furthermore in the future.
Wilfried Kazuki Hedenborg, born in 1977 in Salzburg, Austria, began studying the violin at the age of six with his father. In 1989 he entered the Mozarteum Academy of Music and Dramatic Arts in Salzburg as a student of Prof. Ruggiero Ricci. In 1996 he obtained his Bachelor of Arts Degree, finishing his studies at the Mozarteum in 1998, graduating with a Masters of Arts Degree, both with distinction. In 1998 he started his postgraduate studies at the Conservatorium Vienna with Prof. Werner Hink and graduated in 2002 with distinction. In 1997 he founded “The Vienna Quartett”, which he led until 2001. Over the years he has also developed the “INFELD VIOLIN” strings with Thomastik-Infeld. Developments of “Vision” and “PI” strings followed. Since 2001 Hedenborg plays in the 1st violins of the Vienna State Opera Orchestra / Vienna Philharmonic Orchestra, has become a member of the Vienna Philharmonic in 2004, as a board member also served as a librarian from 2004 to 2010 and since September 2006 also became a member of Wiener Hofmusikkapelle. In 2012, after playing together for years the “Nicolai Quartett” was founded and in the same year the intense work with his
two brothers lead also to founding the “Hedenborg Trio”. As of 2018 he is representing the Vienna State opera Orchestra as its works council chairman and the Austrian Federal Theatres as it central works council chairman.
Over the years, he has attended numerous masterclasses held by Ruggiero Ricci, Thomas Brandis and Herman Krebbers. Between 1993 and 1997 he was a prize winner at a number of international violin competitions: First prizes in the “Jugend musiziert” competition with a special prize awarded by the Vienna Philharmonic Orchestra, the “Alpe-Adria” competition, the “Concours R. Ricci” and the “T. Wronski Solo Violin Competition”; other prizes include 2nd prize at “Concertino Praga”, 4th prize at the “P. de Sarasate” competition.
Wilfried Hedenborg has given many concert performances, both at home and abroad, which included solo recitals, chamber music and orchestral music, amongst others with: The Mozarteum Orchestra Salzburg, Badische Staatskapelle Karlsruhe, Moravian Philharmonie, Vienna Chamber Orchestra, Philharmonie der Nationen, Sinfonietta Baden and the Wieniawski Philharmonie Lublin under H. Graf, K. Ono, P. Vronsky, M. Caldi, J. Frantz, T. Roessner, N. Carthy and P. Kantschieder. In 2018 he performed Paganini’s 4th violin concerto with Riccardo Muti, in a memorial concert celebrating Ruggiero Ricci’s 100th birthday and his Japanese Premiere of M. Rosza’s violin concerto with N. Totsuka and the Philarmonia Aeterna was received as a great success. Since 1997 he has also collaborated in projects with the Vienna State Opera Ballet and the appearances in the Vienna Philharmonic Chamber Music Series in the Vienna State Opera were highly celebrated.
The art of violin- and bow-making has always been a fascinating world, as Ruggiero Ricci has introduced him to it throughout his studies. He now plays modern violins made by M. Schwalb (Vienna) and D. Bagué (Barcelona) as well as bows by T. M. Gerbeth (Vienna).
Born in 1979 in Salzburg, Bernhard Naoki Hedenborg started playing cello at the age of six. At the age of 13 Heinrich Schiff invited Bernhard to study with him over a period of eight years. In addition, he has worked with David Geringas, Zara Nelsova and Miklós Perényi. An avid chamber music performer, he has been encouraged by musicians including György Kurtág, Ferenc Rados, György Sebők, the Alban Berg Quartet and Amadeus Quartet.
He is a prizewinner of many national and international competitions, including a Silver Medal at the Tchaikovsky Competition for Young Musicians and the winner of the European Music Prize of Young Musicians in Oslo.
His solo debut was Saint-Saëns’ Cello Concerto with the Mozarteum Orchestra Salzburg at the age of 12. Repertoire he has performed includes cello concertos by Shostakovich, Haydn, Dvořák, Schumann, Tchaikovsky’s Rococo Variations, Beethoven’s Triple Concerto and Brahms’ Double Concerto with the Cologne Radio Orchestra, Prague Symphony Orchestra, Slovak Philharmonic Orchestra, Mozarteum Orchestra Salzburg, Costa Rica Symphony Orchestra, Tokyo Metropolitan Orchestra, Yomiuri Nippon Symphony Orchestra and the Bombay Chamber Orchestra.
As a member of the Thomas Christian Ensemble, he recorded the chamber music transcriptions of works by Mahler, Bruckner and Debussy. As a member of Ensemble Raro he toured extensively in Europe and Japan and recorded Piano Quartets by Brahms, Dvořák, Dohnányi, Suk and Vasks.
He made his debut at the Golden Hall in the Vienna’s Musikverein as soloist with the Radio Bavaria Chamber Orchestra. In the season 2007/08 he was Soloist in Residence at the Theatre Eisenach where he performed eight concerts with the GMD Tetsuro Ban. 2006-2019 Bernhard Naoki was artistic director of the Kobe Music Festival in Japan. He regularly gives master classes in Japan and Europe.
2008-2011 he was Principal Cellist of the Tonkünstler Orchestra. 2011 he joined the Orchestra of the Vienne State Opera. Since 2014 he is a member of the Vienna Philharmonic.
Julian Yo Hedenborg, born into a family of musicians in Salzburg, he was captivated by music from an early age and started playing the piano and violin at the age of five. At the age of six, he was accepted into the Mozarteum University of Salzburg and studied piano and violin under Prof. Lucy Revers and Prof. Ruggiero Ricci respectively. During this time, Julian won several competitions on both instruments in Austria and Europe. Already at a very young age, he felt a calling to focus on piano, which led him to continue his studies with Prof. Elisabeth Dvorak-Weisshaar at the University of Music & Performing Arts in Vienna when he turned twelve. At the age of sixteen, Julian took a step back from the classical music scene, in order to expand his musical horizon. However, his connection to the piano and to classical music was ever present in his life and in 2011, he returned to the classical music scene for good.
Following the successful completion of his degree in the class of Prof. Stanislaw Tichonow at the Joseph Haydn Conservatory Eisenstadt in 2020, Julian proceeded to specialise in chamber music at the University of Music and Performing Art in Vienna under the guidance of Prof. Avedis Kouyoumdjian. Since his comeback, he won several first prizes at international competitions in Italy, Sweden and Portugal, where he was awarded the Grand Prix in 2013. In 2015, he was awarded a second Grand Prix, this time for chamber music.
